Ready Steady Go! The Sounds of Motown is a UK VHS release by Picture Music International on May 1985.
Description[]
This live performance was recorded at the Ready Steady Go studios in London on the 18th March 1965. All the artistes on this show had already achieved top chart success in the United States and this visit to London heralded the arrival of the Motown sound in Britain. The Supremes' 'Baby Love' subsequently held the No. 1 spot. Stevie Wonder was just fifteen years of age and he, together with The Temptations, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the legendary Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles all went on in the following year to achieve major chart success both here in Britain and around the world. Special guest host DUSTY SPRINGFIELD with The Earl Van Dyke Band. *Special tribute: Ready Steady Go! remembers MARVIN GAYE
